Who arranges your contract

Contracts offered on Yolk Compare are arranged by United Power Group LLC ("UPG"), 601 South Railroad Street, Lewisville, TX 75057. Telephone (713) 929-3217. Email [email protected].

United Power Group LLC is registered with the Public Utility Commission of Texas as an electricity broker, registration number BR200221.

What we are — and are not

UPG is a broker. We arrange retail electric service on your behalf and advise you about it. We are not a retail electric provider (REP). We do not sell electricity, we never take title to it, and we are not affiliated with any REP. Your supply agreement is with the provider you select — ENGIE Resources LLC (PUCT REP #10053) or Direct Energy Business, LLC d/b/a NRG Business (PUCT REP #10011) — and that provider is responsible for billing you and serving your account.

Services provided

Through yolk.compare UPG identifies your meter in the ERCOT extract, obtains that day's commercial pricing from participating providers, presents the options, prepares the provider's agreement for electronic signature and submits the executed agreement to the provider. With your authorization (the Letter of Authorization you sign alongside the agreement) UPG may obtain your historical usage from your transmission and distribution utility to confirm the pricing tier.

How we are compensated

UPG is paid a commission by the retail electric provider you choose. The commission is expressed in cents per kilowatt-hour and is included in the rate quoted to you; it is not a separate charge and it does not appear as a line item on your bill. The rate you see on Yolk Compare is the rate you will pay for energy under the agreement.

Your right to switch

You are never required to use a broker. You may contact any retail electric provider directly, and using a broker does not change the reliability of your electric service, which is delivered by your regulated transmission and distribution utility regardless of who supplies the energy.
